Ingredients

  • 1 pizza dough base
  • 1 pinch of saffron threads
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup scallops
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste

  • Lemon zest for garnish

Мethod of preparation

Prepare the pizza dough according to your preferred recipe or pack instructions. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). In a small bowl, combine the saffron threads with warm water and let them infuse to release their color and aroma. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the saffron infusion with the heavy cream, heating until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface, aiming for a uniform thickness. Spread the saffron cream sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a slight border for the crust. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce as a base layer. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, and sauté the minced garlic until golden. Add the shrimp and scallops, cooking until lightly browned, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Distribute the cooked seafood over the cheese layer on the pizza, then add the remaining mozzarella. Season lightly with salt. Bake the pizza on the center rack of your oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
